Where are we?
Le Mulet Rouge is located in Fiddletown, Amador
County, in the picturesque foothills
of the Sierra Mountains
of eastern California, half way between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe.
The small gold rush community of Fiddletown is located six miles east of Plymouth in historic Amador County, California. Missourians settled the town in 1849. In the 1850’s it became a trading center
for a number of rich mining camps such as American Flat, American Hill and
French Flat among others.
